The Tri-County Sickle Cell Disease Association, Inc. serves the Osceola, Orange, and Seminole County region of Central Florida by promoting awareness, educating the public, and aiding in the understanding and improvement of the Sickle Cell Disease and Sickle Cell Trait. In our attempt to bring awareness and understanding to the general public, we participate in a variety of activities designed to lend economic, psychological, social, and emotional assistance to individuals and/or families affected by Sickle Cell Disease and Sickle Cell Trait.
The purpose of the Tri-County Sickle Cell Disease Association is to promote a range of services for the Sickle Cell Disease and Sickle Cell Trait client, along with their families. Services include, but are not limited to: Assisting clients in learning about their illness, method of disease control and pain management, educational presentations and seminars for medical education, Health and Human Services for professional and general public, support group activities and the promotion of education, along with recreational activities. Each summer, we send kids with Sickle Cell to Boggy Creek Summer Camp. The children will spend a week with doctors and counselors. We also provide Scholarship and Educational Programs, Sickle Cell Trait Counseling, Christmas Activities and Gifts, Referral Service Programs, as well as Client Assistance with medication, transportation and several other needs... and you can help!
