United Foundation Sets Its Sights on Duplicating the Tangelo Park Project

Orlando, Fl-- United Foundation of Central Florida, Inc., (UFCF) is a non-profit public foundation focused on early intervention and education leading to prevention. Ms. Sandra Fatmi, President of the Foundation and the Board of Directors has set its goals to duplicate the Tangelo Park Project for the children in the Pine Hills community. For the past 20 years, the Tangelo Park Initiative, under the leadership of Mr. Harris Rosen has transformed lives and mobilized the community to be self-reliant. It is one of the most successful programs for underserved minority children in the state of Florida.

children are unprepared for kindergarten, and in 2012 one in six public elementary schools started with 50 percent in kindergarten identified as "not ready." There are 70,000 residents in Pine Hill, and the foundation has identified a section of the community that needs immediate attention to get started. As UFCF launches this program, they will hold its "First Annual Spectacular Red Carpet Evening under the Stars Fundraising Gala."

The gala will be held at the elegant Rosen Plaza Hotel, on Saturday July 26, 2014, from 7 pm to 2 am. The MC for this fabulous evening is Vanessa Echols of WFTV Channel 9 News. Ms. Echols is very passionate about promoting initiatives that change lives, and UFCF is honored for her support. Mr. Harris Rosen (an advisor, friend, and mentor to UFCF) has graciously agreed to be the first keynote speaker at our initial fundraising gala. We would like to thank these two giant humanitarians for everything they do in our community and around the world.

To continue the growth of Pine Hills, UFCF needs resources and financing to launch and move our program forward. The musical entertainment for the evening will be provided by DJ Phayz of Vibrant Soundz, 506 Crew Band, and singing from the sensational Lee C. Lizandro (from Puerto Rico). The attire for this red carpet affair is formal, and the donation is $100.00. There will be a silent auction and cocktail hour from 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm. The Board of Directors and volunteers of UFCF appreciate the communities' assistance in becoming a positive change agent.

With wonderful sponsors, a hard-working volunteer team, a dedicated president with a great Board of Directors and community partnership, UFCF is positioned to aggressively change the image of Pine Hill.
