The Orange County DEC Screws It Up Again

OCDECby Trini Quiroz
Boasting about the 100.000 number superiority of DEMOCRATS over Republicans & N/P ranks, OC DEC's 1-track agenda managed to lose yet another election by alienating the party-faithful and disgusting stalwarts who know what Democracy is about.

It was evident how their preference for their lack-luster candidates made better qualified contestants feel unwanted, their obvious and nauseating behavior caused riffs and political dissention between supporters

of the "rejected".

The obviousness of their preference wasn't limited to their exaltation of half-truths, they expend large amounts of money in paid canvassers and said little literature in the campaigns of the protégées they endorsed allowing the better suited primary contenders to lick their wounds and to exit from their view.

Accompanying such activities and during the preceding weeks of the August 26 Primaries they made perfectly clear their intentions: Any one challenging their "preferred" candidates will regret it…what an incredible mountain of malarkey!

August 26 was a prelude of what was to come; the Good Book says that "what people SOW that they should also REAP"…November 4th was a forgone conclusion.
Blacks, Hispanics and other "minorities" are the New Majority, their VOTES are necessary to WIN elections and are KEY element to Re-elect candidates regardless of race, skin-color, creed or place of birth!

Time for well grea$ed Party operatives from Top-Down to buckle their flip-flapping belts and cease & desist from orchestrating who gets what "leadership" position in the organization or to simply justify their existence for manufacturing "juicy plum jobs!

The overall role played by the FLA & OC DEC is one of gross negligence and indifference for the Principles on which the Democratic Party stands!

Former 2012 FL-D-30 candidate Shayan Elahi pointed it out so well in his recent piece entitled: "The Betrayal Of Nan Rich".

"Ironically, the same people who complain the most about the SCOTUS' Citizens United decision and lament the ever growing role of money in politics, have no problem when wealthy influence peddlers such as, mega law firm owner John Morgan, intervene and convert a turncoat and present him at the FDP convention as a true blue Democrat.

Such politically hostile and hypocritical behavior challenges the conscience of any true progressive Democrat and keeps the Party's roots from taking hold in the five hundred thousand strong, whose actions can turn any state-wide office blue.
No matter who wins the Governor's race on November 4, 2014, the Democratic Party has been betrayed and dealt a deep loss this year by its stewards, and it would require a strong anti- establishment movement to rehabilitate the party and revive its ideological soul."
