Senator Marco Rubio Creates A Diversion

Senator Marco Rubio recently gave a very passionate speech about President Obama and Israel and Palestine. Among other comments, he said:
"Israel is a democracy, as evidenced by the vibrant election process that they just underwent. Israel is a free-enterprise economy, a developed economy that provides prosperity for its people and its partners in trade and commerce. Don't we wish the entire Middle East looked that way?

Yes Senator Rubio, not only do I wish the entire Middle East looked that way, but I also wish Orlando,

Florida looked that way.

As a Black person, I am thinking that maybe this whole Benjamin Netanyahu, Isreal, Palestine conflict is just a well-planned diversion so that we stop talking about the missing girls or the 2000 Blacks murdered in Africa last week or the killing of our Black youth here in Florida. Yeah, what about that?

Why are we talking about President Obama, who is 2000 miles away, signing a peace agreement to help people who are 5000 miles away yet we won't talk about leaders right here and their failure to support us.

Here are a few of the people that we should be talking about:
Allison Tant. The Florida Democratic Party chairwoman, who purged over 50,000 Blacks from voter rolls and is now denying the creation of a positive caucus for Black women.

Mayor Buddy Dyer, who put up fences down the middle of the city of Orlando to block Black commerce.

Senator Geraldine Thompson who hides in her Wells Built Museum office and ignores the Tinker Field Historic value to the community.

Commissioner Sam Ings who continues to ignore the pain and heartache of his constituents in District 6 but finds time to deal with the game of baseball in District 5.

Rep. Bruce Antone is no where to be found.

County Commissioner Victoria Siplin...what? Victoria Siplin? hmph

Rep. Randolph Bracy, yeah. What about Rep. Randolph Bracy?

OCPS Vice Chairman Kat Gordon and Superintendent Barbara Jenkins on their mission of destroying the lives and futures of Black students in Orange County.

Why are Central Florida's Black people focused on the Middle East? Why are we even talking about the Middle East? Central Florida's Black People should walk away from that mess and focus on creating housing, jobs and other opportunities in Central Florida. We should understand that this whole Middle East issue is nothing but a diversion for us.

Yes Marco Rubio, I would love to see the entire Middle East look that way. Why don't YOU go fix that and I'll stay here and fix this? I think Black people's time is better spent developing our economy that provides prosperity for our people here in Central Florida.

Think about it.
