DARALENE JONES ADMITS TO HER SHAMEFUL REPORTING

DaraleneJones2by Arnold Carter
Daralene Jones slipped and spilled the beans after being called out as an Auntie Mamie for her hit piece on Regina Hill. She read Pat Simpleton's article on the Community Steeple, panicked and tried to justify her shameful actions with a piece on her Facebook page.

In a rush to explain herself Daralene Jones wrote: "About a month ago I put in a public records request for some e-mails to and from Orlando's newest City Commissioner, Regina Hill."

Bingo! She wrote, "a month ago." Regina Hill was sworn into office "a month ago." So this top-notch investigative reporter began investigating the new commissioner from day one. Wow! Investigative reporters usually go to work on a person who has been in office for a length of time. You know – time

to do something really wrong.

Did she really go to work on the new city commissioner on her own? Or, was she brought back to town in a diabolical scheme to damage Regina Hill. Let us be clear, reporters don't make assignments. They are given assignments. She was assigned to attack commissioner Regina Hill, like an attack dog.

And what did she find? Well she wrote on her Facebook page, "A few [emails] related to jobs at the city's Blueprint Office piqued my interest."

And what piqued her interest? Well this is what she found in all those emails:

A City Employee: "Commissioner Hill, we currently have 9, 810 people registered with the BLUEPRINT Employment Office. Of the total registrants 2,804 people are Parramore Residents of which 1,797 are active and available for job placement."

Commission Regina Hill: "Thanks for the update. We need to meet to begin the process of purging the list of inactive participants so we can restart intake. Also I sent a gentleman by the name of H B to the office yesterday to start work as a mason tender, can we get him started to work as soon as possible?" (Name deleted to protect the person)

A City Employee: "Regarding Mr. B, he did register with the BLUEPRINT Employment Office yesterday. However, there appears to be a misunderstanding, Mr. B is not qualified for the Mason Tender position. The work experience he provided on his registration form does not meet the minimum requirements for the Mason Tender position."

Commissioner Regina Hill: "Give me a call.

And that is the Smoking Gun. The big deal is that Commissioner Hill asked the Blueprint Employment office to help Mr. B find a job. By the way, Mr. B is not related to Commissioner Hill nor did he work on her campaign.

Out of 30 days of emails, this is all they could find to make look like something wrong. Daralene Jones investigative report that aired Tuesday July 8th was full of innuendoes and allegations that would make you think Commissioner Hill was putting her people in 6 figure jobs at City Hall.

Daralene Jones, under the heat of being called out, spilled her guts and confessed that she was hunting for dirt from day one. No other commissioner in the history of the city of Orlando has been put under the gun from day one.

This despicable deed performed by Daralene Jones speaks volumes about her and Channel 9.

Needing a job, she has been brought back to Orlando to beat down our community and our new city commissioner. It is sad when a sister is sicked on another sister. A word to all journalism students, no job is worth damaging your own kind. Because, in the end, you damage yourself.

Someone at Channel 9 has an axe to grind with Commissioner Hill or is taking orders from some outside force.

A last word about investigative reporting; we know how to investigate too. And investigate we will.
