Goldsboro Museum

#BHMUpgrade Day 29 of supporting a Black Business brings me to the Goldsboro Museum in #Sanford, FL. Founded by Mrs Francis Olive r in 2011 and managed by Executive Director Pasha Baker, #GoldsboroMuseum is a Community treasure showcasing and preserving the history, heritage, livelihood, and culture of #Goldsboro, the second black incorporated City in the United States. Founder Mrs. Oliver used her retirement check, from 30 yrs of service as a school teacher, to fund the Goldsboro Museum. She got the community to donate items kept in their families for generations. The Goldsboro Museum gave birth to the Goldsboro Cultural Arts District, which consists of The Goldsboro Museum, The Francis Oliver Cultural Arts and Goldsboro Welcome Center, The Crooms Academy Museum, The Goldsboro Heritage & Art Garden, The Goldsboro Arts Square, and Page Jackson Cemetery. The Goldsboro sites contain precious articles, photos, and artifacts capturing Black culture for over a century worthy of everyone in Florida seeing. IF YOU HAVEN'T BEEN, MAKE A TRIP THERE SOON! Find more about them online at www.GoldsboroMuseum.com Let continue to support Black Businesses.
