TO ERIC HOLDER & THE JUSTICE DEPARTMENT

Evelyn BethuneAs tragic as the Trayvon Martin case is, it is one in a long line of injustices perpetrated on the African American Community. We, America, is sliding back into the dark ages when it was ok for a white person to kill a black person for any reason.

I should not have to live in terror of my grandson being out of my sight to go to work or to college because I know he could be shot to death because he is young black male.

Yet that is how I feel. We don't want to go back to "No Justice no Peace" but that is where we are heading.

We are counting on you to do the RIGHT thing. The decision in the Zimmerman case was insane and held no justice for a young man who lost his life because George Zimmerman decided not to stay in his car as directed by the authorities.

Shame Shame Shame America.

It is unfortunate but as soon as I heard about the make up of the jury, i knew Mr.Zimmerman would walk out a free man and that there would be no justice. I am old enough to remember and I see us moving backwards every day.

WHO is going to fight for Trayvon? His parents did all they could. You have to do something or there will be more Trayvons. White American has just been given the OK to shoot black males at will.

God help us all.
