Here's my thought for this Tuesday as I get ready to go to downtown Orlando to my law office: These people that some folks apparently consider "leaders" and those of so-called "leadership", who, in my humble opinion, are the self-appointed, self-anointed, narcissistic, snake-oil dealing, pulpit pimp, alleged "civil rights" fill-in-the blank "characters"
who are apparently embraced by those who feel compelled to follow these "personalities" for some reason, are the very individuals that people who are of sound mind, and people who are of sound character, and people who have the cognitive ability to affirm their own critical thinking skills on their own terms, need to keep a watchful eye on and also evaluate the substance of the rhetoric of these so called "leaders."
The big question for me is, then, why do individuals "follow" these "personalities?" Why do some
folks buy into their rhetoric and by buying into their rhetoric make it look like that this rhetoric IS the national social agenda for all?
Surely, those who follow are within their constitutional right to follow these "personalities" and I encourage all citizens to do what they want do, and think how they want to think. Every single day, the 1st Amendment of the U.S. Constitution protects the opinions and thoughts and utterances and ideas of both babies and fools. Indeed, the so-called "followers" are certainly entitled to blindly follow these "personalities" off the side of a cliff if they choose to do so. But I also warn those "followers" that even an innocent looking container of grape Kool-aide can be a dangerous beverage for blind consumption.
But at what point does one continue to allow these self-appointed, self-anointed, narcissistic, snake-oil dealing, pulpit pimp, alleged "civil rights" fill-in-the blank "characters" to peddle fear for the benefit of nothing other than to bolster, advance, and otherwise "prop up" their own self-appointed, self-anointed, narcissistic, snake-oil dealing, pulpit pimp, "cult of personality" personas for their own selfish economic benefit?
You don't have to respond at all to this entry. I just encourage all who read it, respectfully, to just think about the intellectual order of the day.
And, I do encourage all to have a great day and a productive Tuesday.
