The Kingdom is Abuzz:
In a scene reminiscent of a mid-evil tale of good & evil Kings & Queens fighting for right or wrong, or a 1950's era flick starring Errol Flynn, Betty Davis and Cecil Rathbone, the Queen of Parramore has tapped her son as the "heir apparent" to the throne that is the fifth, ALL HAIL, the young Prince and God Save the Queen.
Civics 101-Democracy is "The Will of the People":
Civics was a class that was taught in junior high school. The subject matter included the premise that this country was founded by individuals who escaped the tyranny of a "Royal Monarchy". That premise of freedom & democracy, being fully codified and ebbed as an American tenant, that was incorporated in the US Constitution, means the young Prince, although "anointed" must subject himself to open scrutiny and is going to face the "Will of the People" in a free & fair election, in accordance with the Florida Constitution and all relevant statutes therein. Good Luck Young Prince. The People are laughing.
The Court Jesters Are Laughing Too:
What a sad exit after such a long and undistinguished career
as a so-called "Leader". Now to bring another person who is ill equipped, unqualified and a relative into the race and then offer that person as a "Champion of the People", is a pathetic option for us all. The Queen's camp is falling apart and many have joined our camp to let us know the inner workings of the "Queendom." It is in shambles, as manifest by this desperate but impotent move. Everyone loves a winner and even political rats leave a sinking candidates ship. The Queen has embarrassed us all and them too, and once too often they say.
Can You Imagine a Day in the Life of the Prince?:
The Stop.
Prince: "Your Highest, the Royal Police have detained me once again."
Queen: "Son, You are the PRINCE now!", Drive away from those 'white boys' and don't call me again with such trifles"
Prince: "Got it Mom. What if some other white boys stop me with offers for land?"
Queen: Well...
Now of course, this all comes from our collective imaginations. However, how far off could we all really be given the facts that we already know of, as well as the condition of the community.
The Prince's Claims:
"I am running because it is in this community's best interest to sustain the programs and initiatives Commissioner Lynum established and for us to build on that foundation."
Lynum highlighted several programs in which he said Commissioner Lynum played a major role. These include, "the Blueprint that ensured the inclusion of minority contractors in the development of major local projects, the Medical Careers Partnership program, numerous community safety initiatives and several affordable housing programs." (Who gets, What? When?, Where? & How?, this is the very definition of Politics.)
"To put it simply, it will always come back to continuing a legacy of strong and effective leadership," Lynum added, as the principal reason for his entering the race.
"Some political observers are already speculating that, if Juan Lynum is elected, he will serve as a far stronger voice on the City Commission, representing the interests of African Americans in District 5." Was that last sentence by Candidate Lynum that the Legacy left by 16 years of Commissioner Lynum could have been stronger? One must ask the Candidate Lynum at the "Hill vs. Lynum" debate that is sure to follow. The Pan-Africanist Coalition will have seats all over that venue
Legacy?
To put it simply, I don't think that we all will be attending any Daisy Lynum Park or Daisy Lynum Drive, or Daisy Lynum Library ground breaking any time soon. The wonderful end to it all would for the Lynum to concede and both endorse Regina Hill. Is that too much like right?
Who gets What? When? Where? & How?, this is the very definition of Politics. They teach you that the first day in any college political science class in America. Ask yourself before you vote People, what have you gotten for the last 16 years in District 5?
The Pan Africanist Coalition Endorses Candidate Regina Hill For Commissioner of the 5th District.
It is with great pleasure and with even more firm conviction that the Pan-Africanist Coalition as moved to present an endorsement of confidence to Candidate Regina's Hill. Ms. Hill has shown that leaders are chosen by and from the People. She has also shown a love of the People and is loved by the People as well. Ms. Hill is now and will be as District 5 Commissioner a "Fearless Advocate" for her constituency. She is the best hope and the loudest voice for inclusion at this time. She, by far and away is the best suited person to lead from the 5th Districts Commissioners Chair. God's Speed, Candidate Hill and never forget as many do, that "Power Corrupts, Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely".
