News One/TV One has become the professional propaganda arm of one black-American "journalist", in my humble opinion. As a result, there is now a need for a critical assessment of the issue of the balanced dissemination of information and the "free flow of ideas" directed to and "marketed" to the black-American audience under the allegation that the information/propaganda is indeed "news."
While the corporate entity that owns News One/TV One is most certainly entitled to broadcast and package and market and publish and communicate this information, which is arguably "propaganda" to the predominate black-American audience for profit (like any other information based corporation), the
fact of the matter is that the captive targeted audience now must be able to use their own critical thinking skills and cognitive ability to analyze the information and determine what are facts and then filter the facts (from the pundit opinion) and then distinguish those facts from "partisan-pundit-based propaganda" that, in my humble opinion, may be controlled and disseminated by one individual who acts under the newly formed title (that I have never heard of until about three months ago) called an "activist journalist" (which, respectfully, for me is an oxymoron and smacks of propaganda and smacks of the act of being a pundit as opposed to a "journalist" in the most professional sense.)
After monitoring months of information from the News One/TV One webpage (I am not sure where to get it on my television here in Orlando Florida and I have Dish Network), it appears that the product is huge on opinion and pundit utterances and light on facts and analysis on matters in general, but in particular on those matters, for example, having to have to do with the State of Florida and the assault on the statutory matters having to do with Florida Statutes 776.012, 776.013 and 776.032 respectively.
Indeed, it's just the normative "Stand Your Ground is bad for black-Americans everywhere on the planet" utterances when the issue comes up. On the other hand, I have not heard one "call" by any pundit or "activist journalist" for a mass "demonstration" or "boycott" on the City of New York for its continued "targeted stop and frisk" policy that is still in force despite the most recent election of a "Democrat" as mayor (I guess stop and frisk is okay now), or any of the same for the State of New Jersey and the city of Bloomfield in particular, in light of the indictments of two Bloomfield cops who wrongly accused a young black-American male named Marcus Jeter in 2012 and allegedly beat him during the 2012 incident.
It just so happened that a dashboard camera video helped to exonerate the innocent New Jersey man, Marcus Jeter, and eventually led to the indictments of the two Bloomfield cops Officers Orlando Trinidad and Sean Courter.
The above is just one man's opinion on a Friday, and is something to think about and consider as free-thinking and intelligent American citizens with intact and fully functioning cognitive skills.
Obviously, you don't have to agree with my assessment of this issue or my opinion of this "news outlet."
Have a good Friday.
