EVEN THOUGH I'M POLLING IN THE TOP 3 CANDIDATES...I WAS NOT INVITED TO THIS DEBATE! WHY??
Here is an email that I wrote to Greg Fox WESH the moderator of the debate:
Subject: Tiger Bay Club Debate
Good Evening Greg: I see on the Tiger Bay Club of Central Florida website that you will be hosting the debate on August 3rd. I spoke with the president of the Tiger Bay Club to find out why I was not invited or included in the debate. He told me that he only included the top six money raisers in the race.
Of course, Tiger Bay is a private club and, thus, can invite anyone they choose to participate in their debate. However, I think that if the media is going to participate, write about, or air this debate; a disclaimer should be included that other candidates wanted to participate but were not invited because of the club's (in my opinion) arbitrary criteria.
On the Tiger Bay website and its Eventbrite invitation for this debate, the wording "Confirmed Candidates Attending" is used. THIS IS MISLEADING.
If the invitation was only to Tiger Bay club members, excluding candidates would be strictly a club matter. However, since the invitation to the debate is a public invitation, I don't think it is fair to make the public think that candidates, like me and others, didn't "confirm" or that we blew off the debate.
I hope you will consider letting the debate organizers, the audience, your news station, and other media outlets know that only six candidates were invited to participate in the debate, even though others, like me, requested to participate. Thank you and have a great day.

The Tiger Bay Club board made the decision to invite the top four Democrats from the fundraising list, in order to avoid having an overcrowded stage. We did add Ms. Brown as she was a past congresswoman and Mr. Muneer as he is a long standing Tiger Bay member.
Thank you.

This is very disappointing!
Natalie Jackson who is Top 3 in the most recent polling is not included in this event. Ms. Jackson has been in this race since May 2021.
Brown and Grayson just entered the race in May 2022. Please help the people understand why Ms. Jackson was not invited to this event. The PEOPLE of District 10 deserve to hear from ALL of the candidates!

Thank you for your reply. However, you didn't address my concern that on the Tiger Bay website and its Eventbrite invitation for this debate, the wording "Confirmed Candidates Attending" is used.
I hope you will consider letting your Facebook followers, the debate audience, and media outlets know that only six candidates were invited to participate in the debate, even though others, like me, requested to participate. Also that the invitations were based on money raised and NOT on how well a candidate is doing in the polls (based on the only publicized poll in the race, I'm polling in the top 3 candidates). Thank you.
