We Must Organize in Florida to Stop Culture War Bills Being Passed

RogerCaldwell 200Voting and legislating in Florida is being controlled by the Republicans, and there is nothing the Democrats can do but fight and organize. The legislature in Florida is controlled by Republicans in all the houses, and insanity is deciding what bills will be passed and signed by the governor.

Florida has a Republican trifecta and a Republican triplex. A state government trifecta is a term to describe when one political party holds majorities in both chambers of the state legislature and the governor’s office. A state government triplex is a term to describe when one political party holds the following three positions in a state’s government: governor, attorney general, and secretary of state.

The three most powerful positions in Florida are Governor Ron DeSantis (R), President of the State Senate Kathleen Passidomo (R), and State Speaker of the House Paul Renner (R). With the Republicans in 2023, the Republicans have partisan control and a legislative supermajority. This means in both chambers the Republicans will control the debate, and has a veto-proof majority.

The meeting is set to begin at 1 p.m., and will reveal many of the countless hidden investigation items that are new and some are old. The clock has run out of time, because in January the Republicans will take control of the House and they will shut down the investigation.

The Federalist Society laid out a scheme 40 years ago that is designed to capture and control the Supreme Court. You know what, they have won. Every member of the courts 6 justice republican majority is a current or former member of the Federalist Society. These justices regularly headline Federalist Society Fundraisers.

They raise money to put even more Federalist members in as judges and in control of our judicial system around the country. Florida is a hot spot for these schemers. This is good for the wealthy. This is not good for the rest of us. This is not good at all.

Wouldn't it be great, if we could change the rules for instances like this? Instances where there are three phenomenal candidates for the same office we should be able to cancel the election and make room for all three in Congress. The comments were made during a campaign stop at a local barber shop. George Oliver is the incumbent commissioner who has had heated discussions with the City Mayor during public attended, city council meetings.
