As Black people we already know what is holding us back, it’s mostly us. The America society and justice system is designed in such a way that makes it hard, sometimes impossible, to break free enough to actually pursue life’s pleasures.
Some call it ‘systemic racism.’ Even now, we are forced to make our way through the gauntlet of life’s traps, designed to lead us to failure or to maintain the status-quo.

Trump's new tax code stabs Black tax payers right in the wallet. The 3 year limit to amend your tax has been eliminated. The IRS admits that the average taxpayer recoups about $2800 for each year with a 3 year maximum amendment period. So, if you amend your last three years of tax returns, you could recoup a minimum of $8400.

The challenge of stroke in America is still a sickness that many refuse to discuss and admit they have struggled with. May is stroke awareness month, and there are very small groups engaged in sharing their issues with the disease. Something is wrong with the healthcare system when so many Americans do not know the correct numbers for good high blood pressure numbers, and 80% of strokes are preventable.
As a Black man I had a stroke at 54, and there were at least 20 ways I could have avoided a stroke. My lack of knowledge was a determining factor of why I had a stroke. All Americans by the time they are 12 years old should know the importance, and what the numbers represent.
